Today's the day!
It's time for the Festival of the Sea. It used to be called Oktoberfest, but the annual fall festival has been re-branded to better reflect Port Royal's maritime heritage. I'm looking forward to a more meaningful festival experience as a result. This year we can expect local seafood, Lowcountry Estuarium activities, live music and more. The Old Village Association is to be commended for shifting the focus of the festival so it puts local culture and cuisine in the spotlight.
